The St. Michael’s crypt is a real church, hosting both church and prayer services, so it goes without saying there needs to be an altar. This one here is made of sandstone and truly unique.
The bronze relief above the altar tells the story of Jesus as a boy in the temple. And the story continues just above the altar, one floor higher, in the church interior, where you can see Jesus after his Resurrection in the large retable.
