Accessibility at St. Michael’s

Due to the building structure, St. Michael’s is only partially accessible. The church interior and crypt are accessible to wheelchairs. The tower can only be accessed by stairs up to the first floor (52 steps).
Whilst wheelchair users receive discounted admission, their attendants who help carry them up the steps have free admission.

Portal 10 provides wheelchair access to the church. The door can be opened by pressing a button. Access is level with the ground.

The crypt can be accessed via flush thresholds in the public toilets located on the southern side of the church. Access is available whenever the public toilets are open – otherwise, please use the doorbell marked with a wheelchair symbol.
