The large organ above the main portal at the west gallery is a heavyweight. Organ builder G. F. Steinmeyer & Co. based in Oettingen, Bavaria, rebuilt the imposing instrument in 1962. With 86 stops and 6,697 pipes, the organ accommodates an extensive range of styles and creates a warm, elegant sound. It was completely overhauled in 2009, whilst a glockenspiel was added in 2015 for an especially festive sound.
